Close Quaters

I've been away from the blog for a while and, though I'm sure no one's really noticed, I thought it was about time I updated.

The past few weeks have been full of illness and depression here in the 'Sippy Cup' house.

Yep, September arrived and so did all of the return-to-school-after-a-long-summer-holiday bugs.

The dreaded flu hit us all hard, and I have to admit that even my usual 'Mummy Powers' weren't nearly enough to pull me through the long child filled days of dirty nappies, toilet training and four lots of school runs and after school activities.
Thank goodness Drew had a week off to help!

The October half term rocked up all too quickly and I was still suffering with the 'Mummy knock-out strengh' strain of flu. With Drew back at work, I had no choice but to go it alone with all 4 children, who had also by now started showing signs of illness.

On the plus side, I picked up our new family car, a shiny metallic black Vauxhall Zafira! It's gorgeous!
After 8 months of not having a car, it was an exciting addition to the family.

Unfortunately, due to us all being ill, it hasn't really had much use.

The Halloween weekend bought with it lots of fun for the kids and the total regression of 4 adults back to their tween years!

That weekend deserves it's very own post!

And so back to school on the 1st November.

We made it all the way through to Tuesday this week, before the sickness bug reared it's ugly head.
It's now Thursday and I have all four children vomiting and the two little ones with nappy contents NASA would be proud of.

Drew and I have still yet to shake this fluey thing completely and as I write this I have realised that I am becoming increasingly queasy...

Brilliant!
