I love Sunday's.
Sunday is our one day a week that we have together.
No shopping, no football, no errands, just us.
Since 2011 arrived, I've been making a huge effort to get the family back on track with things like this, as towards the end of last year, with the business of family birthdays and Christmas, things got a little slack.
We've so far enjoyed 8 Sunday's as a family this year. We've done various things.
We've taken trips to the Dinosaur Park and the Millennium Library. Gone to the Norwich Castle Museum and to Eaton Park to see the frozen boating lake. And even trekked through muddy woodland in search of squirrels.
This week, however, we had a 'making day'.
This was the 7 year old's idea, as all four children have been ill this week, and are still ill with coughs, colds and temperatures.
Here's what we've been up to..
The Hama Beads came out:
Then we did some junk modeling:
Followed by a bit of sewing:
And Den building:
Not forgetting drawing:
And, of course, cooking baking :)

I love creative days! My son gets bored far too easily though. Reading your blog for the first time today, what a lovely big brood you have :) x
